MARUTI SUZUKI SX4

To prove that the Swift’s success was not a fluke, Maruti got down to lunching its first salvo at the Honda city- the SX4. Since last year, the SX4 has steadily been making inroads into Honda’s bastion and for good reason. The Fiat Sedici/SX4 platform is an extended Swift platform that has been strengthened to suit the crossover underpinnings this platform possesses. The high ground clearance and tall architecture makes this car very easy to get in and out of, while allowing it to tackle surfaces even some MUVs would dither from. No doubt then, it’s also part of the WRC campaign. The 1.6-litre DOHC petrol is very torque which makes it drivable on both city and highways runs. Ride quality is decent, while handling is top notch too. Some poor quality plastic and thick pillars hamper driver visibility, but other than that it’s a practical, everyday saloon that anybody can use anywhere.
